EB180 SOLENOID BOLT MORTICE FAIL SAFE 12/24 DC 25MM WIDE
Built with narrow-stile doors and frames in mind, this electric bolt lock has been designed to work with the majority of doors setups, from standard wooden / timber, right through to even hollow metal frames. This makes for a very diversely suitable electronic locking solution that can be fitted on almost any door setup.
To compliment this physical diversity, the electronics inside also lend themselves to a wide range of electrical setups, too. Offering dual-voltage capability of both 12v DC and 24v DC, you can use these on the vast majority of access control systems. While most run on 12v DC, the ability to use 24v DC lends itself well to larger-scale applications where 24v DC components may be used in order to drop the current consumption down which can help when having to install components on long runs of cable.
With door monitoring functionality provided also, this output can be wired into a monitoring station or even a simple switching LED indicator to allow you to have constant feedback on the door status, based on the magnetic bolt status between the lock and the keep.
On the body of the lock case you will see the wiring terminals along with detailed labelling (photographed in the product images) for simple wiring guidance, along with two toggle-switches that allow you to adjust the relocking time of the solenoid. This is also detailed for easy setup; each switch has two positions, giving four possible position combinations in total, which as demonstrated in the photos provides time-delays of 0 seconds (instant), 3 seconds, 6 seconds and 9 seconds.
These are tested to over 500,000 cycles which drastically exceeds all typical test requirements, and doubles the standard 250,000 cycle endurance test.
As mentioned previously these locks operate on 12v DC and 24v DC. Under 12v DC power, the current consumption on locking is 900mA, which then drops down to just 150mA to maintain the locked state. Of course this will be much less on 24v DC, at just 400mA on locking, and 100mA holding.
